Maintenance Service Person

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work with Maintenance Supervisor and/or Facility Manager to establish a program to eliminate downtime in trouble areas. 
  • Repair production equipment safely and as quickly as possible after a breakdown 
  • Work on assigned projects 
  • Fabricate and install new equipment 
  • Maintain machinery according to Preventative Maintenance Program 
  • Troubleshoot equipment 
  • Utilize safe work habits 
  • Wear appropriate PPE 
  • Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures 
  • Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures 
  • Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS  

  • High School diploma or equivalent; technical training/education is a plus
  • Background in fabrication, mechanical and electrical repair with use of shop tools 
  • Forklift license 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ability to work overtime and rotating shift work as required 
  • Standing up to 12 hours daily 
  • Walking up to 12 hours daily 
  • Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily 
  • Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily 
  • Lifting weights up to 45 lbs. regularly
  • Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily 
  • Travel less than 10%
