Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The hours may vary, but this candidate will primarily cover opening shifts to include some cleaning prior to open at 7AM. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of our laundry services and laundromat and involves lots of cleaning of the machines and facility. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in customer service (preferably in laundry) and be bilingual in English and Spanish. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that the self-service laundromat customers have a great experience from the moment they walk through the doors to the time when they walk out with their clean laundry. The candidate will also help maintain the equipment and process laundry orders in a professional manner and present them to the highest standards. Candidate will be required to pass a background check.

Duties

  • Provide EXCELLENT customer service in a friendly and professional manner
  • Process sales and orders in the Point of Sale system and manage multiple methods of payment
  • Operate washing machines and dryers according to established procedures to launder items effectively.
  • Inspect all items for stains or damage before laundering and report any issues to the supervisor
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines and workspaces
  • Ensure proper handling of chemicals and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking laundry supplies and notifying management when replenishment is needed.
  • Training of new staff

Skills

  • Previous experience in a laundromat is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of laundering techniques
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control in cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with customers, team members and supervisors.
  • English/Spanish bilingual candidates preferred
