Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing for our ambulatory surgical center, to lead our clinical team in providing exceptional care to our patients, surgeons and community. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of nursing administration, management practices, and regulatory compliance to ensure the highest standards of patient care. We are a single specialty, Ophthalmology surgery center that is certified by CMS, owned by and works hand in hand with the University of Houston College of Optometry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the ambulatory surgery center, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards of care.
  • Ensure high quality patient care through supervision of the function and staffing of the ASC in addition to planning, forecasting and budget monitoring.
  • Supervise clinical staff, providing a culture of accountability and guidance that supports the development and implementation of policies, procedures and strategies in support of the facility's objectives as well as to foster professional development and maintain high-quality care.
  • Manage documentation review processes and ensure accurate medical records are maintained in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care, safety and quality outcomes in collaboration with the Medical Director and Administrator.
  • Utilize EHR and compliance systems for efficient management of patient information, staffing workflows and accredidation requirements.
  • Ensure all equipment maintenance and servicing is completed according to regulatory and/or manufacture guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and development and work with the management team to implement within the facility as well with staff.
  • Act as Administrator designee in Administrator's absence, if requested.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
