Job Title: IT Support Specialist (Level 3)
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Level 3 IT Support Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely but will require occasional on-site presence across our various locations based on business needs.
The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable in system administration, network infrastructure, and advanced troubleshooting. You'll serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues and play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 3 support for escalated technical issues (hardware, software, networking, and systems)
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, firewalls, VPNs, and network infrastructure
- Support onsite and remote users across multiple locations
- Assist with security management, software patching, and system updates
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers when needed
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues
- Maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Respond to support tickets in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of Level 3 IT support experience or equivalent technical role
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, networking (LAN/WAN/VPN), and remote access tools
- Experience supporting cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or similar) is a plus
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and manage priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Must have reliable transportation for occasional on-site visits
Details:
- Position Type: Part-time (hours may vary)
- Work Environment: Remote with occasional on-site presence
- Location Coverage: Support across (Los Angeles, Pomona, Santa Ana, Hawthorne, Ontario, Santa Ana, and Oakland)
- Schedule: Flexible; based on business needs and coordination with manager
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical support roles with a focus on desktop support and IT infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as TCP, firewall configurations, and network administration tools like Meraki.
- Experience with mobile device management and troubleshooting mobile operating systems.
- Proficient in using analysis skills to diagnose issues effectively and implement solutions promptly.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory for user account management.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
