Digestive Health Specialist is seeking a dedicated Endoscopy Technician to join our team and support high-quality patient care in a dynamic surgical environment.

• Patient Safety & Advocacy

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.

• Ensure patient safety by preventing injury from chemical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal sources.
• Operate equipment safely and report/correct unsafe conditions.
• Speak up with safety concerns and act as a patient advocate.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and rights throughout care.

• Clinical Support

• Assist during endoscopic procedures by preparing and organizing sterile instruments and supplies.

• Provide instruments and supplies to the endoscopist during procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to standard precautions, including PPE use.
• Handle specimens per facility protocols.
• Support interventions to maintain tissue perfusion and prevent infection.

• Equipment & Scope Management

• Maintain endoscopy instruments and accessories in working order.

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and ensure scopes are prepared per manufacturer guidelines.
• Clean and prepare equipment for processing and transport to decontamination areas.

• Team Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

• Participate in multidisciplinary planning and post-procedure room turnover.
• Provide accurate and concise hand-off reports.

• Quality & Professional Development

• Participate in quality reviews, performance improvement projects, and safety huddles.

• Engage in ongoing training, competency maintenance, and professional growth.
• Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and contribute to a positive team culture.

• Other Duties

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support patient care and operational excellence

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Prior Experience as a GI Tech preferred.
• Successful completion of BCLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BCLS certification.

Min: USD $16.88/Hr. Max: USD $30.53/Hr.
