Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Assistant Soccer Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in soccer, excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in developing young athletes. The Assistant Soccer Coach supports the Head Coach in developing and implementing training programs, strategies, and player development initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting with practice sessions, game preparation, player skill development, and fostering a positive team culture. The ideal candidate is passionate about soccer, has strong leadership skills, and is committed to player growth and team success.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting training sessions, drills, and conditioning programs.

Help develop game strategies, analyze opponents, and provide tactical input.

Provide individual and group instruction to improve players' technical and tactical skills.

Monitor player performance, provide constructive feedback, and track progress.

Assist with team selection, lineup decisions, and substitutions during matches.

Ensure player safety and adherence to rules, regulations, and sportsmanship standards.

Help manage equipment, uniforms, and team logistics.

Support academic and behavioral expectations for student-athletes (if applicable).

Attend staff meetings, scouting sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive team environment.

Team Management:

Lead and motivate players during practices and games.

Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude among players.

Manage team logistics, including scheduling, equipment, and communication with parents/guardians.

Game Preparation & Strategy:

Develop game strategies and prepare players for matches.

Attend all scheduled games and tournaments, providing guidance and support to the team.

Analyze game performance and provide constructive feedback to players.

Safety & Well-being:

Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and games.

Enforce rules and regulations to maintain a safe and respectful environment.

Respond to injuries and emergencies in a calm and effective manner.

Communication:

Maintain open and effective communication with players, parents, and staff.

Provide regular updates on team progress, schedules, and any relevant information.

Address concerns and questions from players and parents in a professional manner.

Professional Development:

Stay current with coaching techniques, soccer trends, and youth development strategies.

Attend coaching clinics, workshops, and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous experience playing or coaching soccer at a competitive level.

Experience working with youth athletes is highly preferred.

Certifications:

Valid coaching certification (e.g., USSF, NSCAA, UEFA, or equivalent) is preferred.

CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.

Other Requirements:

Must pass a background check.

Availability to work evenings and weekends for practices and games.

Pay: $60-$150/hourBenefits:
