  • Work as a part of an overhead telecom line crew
  • Load, unload, layout and prep tools/supplies/equipment/materials needed at each job site
  • Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by the Lineman, Foreman, or Supervisor
  • Follow OSHA, Alpha Communication's , and customer safety requirements
  • Excavating to set poles and anchors
  • Maintaining and repairing overhead distribution or transmission lines
  • Stringing new wire or maintaining old wires
  • Installing and maintaining underground telecommunications systems
  • Set up service for customers, installing, connecting, testing, or adjusting equipment
  • Tree trimming
  • Handle physically demanding construction duties.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Basic tools required could be climbing tools (Belt and Gaffs), basic hand tools etc
  • Valid Class A CDL is strongly desired
  • Must be able to follow instructions and have good communication skills
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig, and reach
  • Must be able to climb ladders
  • Must be able to travel
  • Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor under all types of conditions

Alpha Communications will provide on-the-job training in all areas of safety, tool operation and maintenance, and basic job responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $29.00 per hour
