Patent Paralegal / Docketing Specialist

We are seeking a
Patent Paralegal / Docketing Specialist
to provide essential overflow support for a growing Intellectual Property team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in patent prosecution, docketing, and data management, with a focus on maintaining accuracy and compliance across all filings and records.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify accuracy of U.S. and foreign patent filings and correspondence from USPTO and other agencies.
  • Perform de-docketing, double-check tasks, and correct data discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
  • Conduct detailed audits of docketed tasks, confirming accuracy of due dates and task types.
  • Ensure all correspondence actions are properly captured and docketed in the system.
  • Review and update records, manage non-statutory deadlines, and maintain organized documentation.
  • Provide prosecution and administrative support to patent paralegals, including updating inventor details and saving correspondence per documentation protocols.
  • Manage and maintain patent management system data (experience with Anaqua preferred).

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in patent prosecution and docketing.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite.
  • Experience using USPTO electronic filing systems and patent docketing software (Anaqua preferred).
