Your Role as the Inventory Supervisor

As the Inventory Supervisor , you will manage our physical inventory processes for convenience stores and oversee special projects.

You will lead teams of various sizes between two and ten counters. You will ensure accurate and efficient inventory counts while upholding our timeliness and service excellence standards.

Your leadership will support a streamlined and organized approach to inventory management, enabling our clients to operate smoothly and effectively.

Your Core Responsibilities as the Inventory Supervisor

As the Inventory Supervisor, you are the cornerstone of our inventory management team. You ensure that inventory counts are accurate and operations run smoothly.

Here are the primary responsibilities for this role:

  • Leadership and Team Supervision: Oversee a team of 2-15 inventory auditors, providing clear direction, support, and supervision. Assign tasks based on individual strengths, foster a positive work environment, and ensure adherence to standardized counting protocols.
  • Conduct Inventory Counts: Actively participate in and oversee the inventory count process, ensuring accuracy and reliability, including in high-value or sensitive areas.
  • Verify Accuracy and Resolve Discrepancies: Perform quality control checks, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with store management team to ensure inventory aligns with records.
  • Client Communication and Reporting: Serve as the primary liaison between the inventory auditing team and store management team, prepare comprehensive inventory audit reports, and professionally address client questions or concerns.
  • Time and Task Management: Complete inventory audits within designated timeframes, prioritize tasks effectively, and monitor team progress to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Handle all client data strictly, adhering to company policies and maintaining clients' trust.

The Inventory Team Leader has a vital role in moving our company forward. Here's how we'll measure your success:

  • Efficiency and Productivity: Ensure your team achieves an average rate of 3,000 counted pieces per hour per person.
  • Team Management and Performance: Minimize employee complaints through effective leadership and support.
  • Accuracy of Inventory Counts: Maintain high accuracy in inventory results, verified through quality control.
  • Client Satisfaction: Zero client complaints, ensuring client trust and satisfaction with inventory audits.

Qualifications:
  • Your own transportation to get to and from job sites.
  • Valid Real ID driver's license.
  • Must submit to a background check.
  • Ability to work full-time with a varying schedule.
  • Ability to travel 80% of the time.
  • Comfortable using handheld scanners, inventory software, and data entry tools.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods while conducting inventory counts.
  • Able to lift up to 45lbs.
  • Can handle sensitive client data with discretion and adhere to confidentiality requirements.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team, preferably in an inventory or operational setting.
  • High level of accuracy and focus on ensuring correct data entry and inventory counts.
  • Availability for 25-30 hours per week during the training period.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for providing team direction.

We offer a competitive salary of $21.00 $24.00 per year, based on experience.
