The Role As a Senior Guidewire Developer / Consultant, you will be part of the strategic Policy and Claim admin platform consolidation program. You will plan and execute all deployment of system features and monitor for successful integration, maintaining the system throughout its lifecycle. To be successful in this role, you should have expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimsCenter V10, as well as experience with cloud migration and implementing new product lines of business. This includes configuring and customizing ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter applications as required, along with strong knowledge of the insurance domain.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design highly scalable software solutions to improve functionality and system longevity.

  • Develop modules of the initial enterprise system plan and work with the development team by coding advanced portions of the modules.

  • Plan and execute all deployment of system features and monitor for successful integration, maintaining the system throughout its lifecycle.

  • Consolidate the requirements and identify the future proof solutions.

  • Suggesting and implementing best practices of Agile methodology and design/development principles.

  • Contribute to the development of internal tools that can be used during triage and identify reconciliation issues.

Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimsCenter (V10), with experience in cloud migration programs, including configuration and customization of ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter applications as required.

  • Adept in performance tuning.

  • Solid understanding of the complexity nature of the business problems and requirements.

  • Knowledge of insurance domain and claims process.

  • Experience in integrating Guidewire with downstream systems including finance systems (general ledger), payment systems and documents management systems.

  • Skilled in integrating Guidewire with third party/broker policy management systems.

  • Previous experience in integrating 3rd party feeds to cloud data platforms.

  • Knowledgeable in migrating data from legacy systems to Guidewire.

  • Drawing efficient High Level and Low-level design documents.

  • Experience working directly with customers or key internal stakeholders

  • Expertise in reconciling data from Guidewire to Datawarehouse.

  • Previous experience and demonstrated abilities with GOSU programming, XML, PCF, REST and SOAP.

  • Experience with source code management systems such as GitHub.

  • Adaptable and comfortable working in dynamic and changing environments.

  • Knowledge of General Insurance domain and claims processes.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Proficiency in programming languages including Java, Python, and PL/SQL.

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum).

  • Certified in Guidewire Ace.

  • Experience with development frameworks such as Spring Boot, React, and Angular.

  • Skilled in working with relati onal databases like Oracle and Microsoft SQL.

  • Hands-on knowledge of DevOps tools including Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with monitoring solutions such as AppDynamics and Splunk.
