Chemical Process Technician

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct QA/QC lab analysis and lab instrument calibrations, run plant from DCS interface in control room, inside/outside plant readings, load/unload tank trucks, box trucks and rail cars, assist with maintenance as needed. Excellent entry level position for recent science (STEM) graduates.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Associates Degree (2 year Process Technology Associates degree preferred) OR complete/partial 4 year degree in STEM related subject (i.e. engineering, chemistry, biology, math, physics, environmental science, etc...) OR High School diploma/GED with 17-30 technical course hours toward a Chemical Process Technology certificate OR 3 - 5 years experience in rubber, chemical or petroleum processing operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Solid understanding of physical science, chemistry, and mathematics (including algebra) with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Process Technicians are expected to be able to wear all protective equipment including self-contained breathing apparatus.
  • Willingness to comply with all safety and environmental standards in a smoke free environment.
  • Drug free with the ability to climb and to work at heights.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt to change and to actively participate as a member of a small production team.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.

WORKING HOURS & DAYS: Monday - Sunday, 12 hr rotating shifts alternating 36/48 hour weeks (42 hr/wk average)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48, $59,000.00 per year
