Class Summary

Testing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising all activities related to the Testing Center. Position is responsible for overseeing and implementing operational processes, procedures and policies for the Testing Center. The coordinator works with other areas of student affairs, faculty, and other staff members to better serve the College of the Mainland student body as well as prospective students.

Minimum Education/Training/Experience

Bachelor's degree in education, psychology , student affairs, business, or related field. Two (2) years of higher education experience.

Preferred Education/Training/Experience

Master's degree in education, psychology, counseling, behavioral science or closely related field and (4) years of experience in high school or higher education. Standardized testing experience; or, and equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Job Duties

  • Develops, implements, and supervises daily activities and procedures for the Testing Center.
  • Diagnoses, solves, and communicates technology related problems with internal and external partners impacting high stakes testing.
  • Leads, analyses, and reports TSI Assessment test data for enrollment management.
  • Maximizes revenue generation of the Testing Center.
  • Ensures compliance with updated state regulated changes to TSI cut-scores and correct testing sequences.
  • Manages budgets, expenses and revenue reports. Interprets and explains College testing policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that testing programs offered are supportive of the college goals and objectives, and accommodate community testing needs.
  • Knowledge of state mandated assessments and their relation to their effect on student course requirements.
  • Conducts annual staff evaluations and observations to determine areas of growth.
  • Interprets test results, provides guidance to students and make appropriate referrals.
  • Supervises staff and assigns duties. Creates and maintains training and office procedures manual.
