About Maker Studio Kidz

Maker Studio Kidz is a San Francisco-based creative education studio that sparks imagination through hands-on Art, STEM, and Maker experiences. We host innovative programs, camps, and events for kids and families, partnering with schools, community organizations, and corporate clients to bring creativity to life.

Position Summary

The Event & Programs Operations Assistant supports the coordination, preparation, and execution of Maker Studio Kidz programs and creative events. This role ensures that materials, logistics, and communications run smoothly—from prepping art kits and maintaining studio supplies to assisting with on-site setup and supporting teaching artists during workshops. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and enjoys being part of a collaborative, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Event Support

  • Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, camps, and workshops.
  • Support instructors and facilitators during classes or corporate experiences.
  • Help manage program calendars, supply lists, and event logistics.
  • Coordinate materials prep, packaging, and deliveries for offsite programs and kits.

Operations & Logistics

  • Maintain organized inventory of supplies, tools, and program materials.
  • Track and restock materials needed for recurring events or classes.
  • Support communication with vendors, venues, and partner organizations.
  • Help ensure smooth day-to-day operations of studio activities.

Administrative & Creative Support

  • Assist with scheduling, data entry, and program documentation.
  • Support production of educational materials, visuals, and sample projects.
  • Contribute ideas for improving systems, workflows, and guest experiences

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a flexible, problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative environment with children and families.
  • Ability to lift and move materials (up to 25 lbs) and assist with event setup.
  • Experience in arts education, event production, or operations support is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $20.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 28 per week
