Role Description

This is a contract role for a Data Engineer based in Omaha, NE, with flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (some work from home allowed). In this role, the Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines. Responsibilities include implementing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) workflows, managing data modeling and warehousing solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet data integration and analysis needs. Additionally, the role involves optimizing data structures to support analytics and reporting for informed decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Data Engineering, including the ability to design and manage scalable and efficient data pipelines
  • Strong skills in Data Modeling and expertise in designing and optimizing database schemas
  • Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and tools
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and technologies
  • Strong understanding of Data Analytics, including data interpretation and visualization
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience with modern data platforms, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
