Office of Workers' Compensation
The Louisiana Works is seeking a Program Compliance Officer to join the Office of Workers' Compensation. The Program Compliance Officer serves a critical role in fulfilling the mission of the Second Injury Board, as outlined in La. R.S. 23:1371.A- to encourage the employment of individuals with a permanent partial disability by protecting employers and insurers from excess liability due to subsequent work-related injuries. PCOs are responsible for evaluating reimbursement claims submitted to the Second Injury Fund (SIF), ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and making eligibility recommendations to the Board. They also monitor the status of accepted and litigated claims and evaluate settlement requests.
