Based in Slidell, we specialize in the installation of cabling, network equipment, and comprehensive on-site support for our clients. Our team works primarily in commercial settings to ensure reliable networking infrastructure, including troubleshooting various types of networking and POS equipment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a part-time, experienced Network Cabling Technician to join our team immediately. This position requires availability for 20 to 30 hours per week and involves field installations, as it is not an office or desk-based role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install and run Cat5, Cat6, and other types of cabling throughout commercial buildings.
  • Perform installations of network equipment and CCTV systems while providing on-site troubleshooting for various types of network and POS equipment.
  • Travel from job site to job site to complete installations and maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure all installations meet company standards and customer satisfaction.

Pay Rate:

  • Starting pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour , depending on your level of experience.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in installing Cat5, Cat6, and network equipment in a commercial environment.
  • A reliable personal vehicle is essential for traveling between job sites—as company vehicles are not provided. This means you must be self-sufficient in commuting to various locations efficiently.
  • A working laptop (not a Chromebook) for completing job-related tasks and documentation is necessary.
  • You must be available to start immediately and understand that this position is part-time, requiring flexibility within standard working hours to accommodate the demands of the job.
