Duties

  • Lead and supervise HVAC installation teams across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, and suppliers to schedule installations and procure necessary equipment and materials.
  • Review technical schematics, HVAC design plans, and blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of systems.
  • Oversee the installation of air conditioning units, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and related mechanical components.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify proper equipment repair, plumbing connections, welding tasks, and overall system functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) codes and property maintenance regulations.
  • Manage field service activities including troubleshooting HVAC issues, appliance repair tasks, and maintenance requests.
  • Operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components and ensure system integrity.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, safety reports, and equipment repair records.
  • Mentor technicians in technical skills like HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, boiler operation, and mechanic experience.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC system installation and property maintenance.
  • Proven experience as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems and appliances.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans accurately.
  • Skilled in plumbing work associated with heating and cooling systems; familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with field service operations involving equipment repair, welding techniques, boiler management, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred.
  • Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing; capable of troubleshooting complex HVAC/R issues.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, vendors, and stakeholders effectively.
