Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Responsible to: Senior Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (Sr. BCBA)

Overview: As a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will play a crucial role in overseeing the clinical operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality applied behavior analysis services. Your responsibilities will encompass supervisory duties, clinical oversight, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. You will combine your expertise in applied behavior analysis with leadership skills to mentor and guide a team of master clinicians, ensuring optimal patient care and professional development.

Purpose: To fill the need within our integrated services model by providing Applied Behavior Analysis to enhance implementation of client programs and goals in a well-rounded model tailored to each of our clients. To mentor, empower and develop Registered Behavior Technicians.

Collaborates With:

Speech Team

  • Mentoring and empowering to educate and build a confident and streamlined team.
  • Ensuring clear communications across all teams working with the same clients.

Psychology Team

  • Initial diagnostic reports for clarity across the team.

Registered Behavior Technicians

  • Providing ongoing mentorship and oversight using clinical expertise to help implement the integrated service model during and while observing sessions.
  • Ensuring clear communications across all teams working with the same clients.
  • Ensuring consistency throughout treatment to align methodology.

Administrative Team

  • Intake coordinator, Regional Practice Manager, Operations Manager
  • Clients scheduled for intake, evaluations & re-evaluation.

Human Resources Team

  • Ensuring performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and other staff meetings are conducted as needed.

Expectations:

  • Positive, professional and respectful feedback and communications to all team members and colleagues.
  • Provide a minimum of direct service hours per week to clients.
  • Ensure clinical processes and services are effectively implemented and align with the integrated-services model.
  • Train and empower Registered Behavior Technicians and processes or procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Supervision/Staff Development

  2. Provide daily supervision and mentorship to a team of applied behavior analysis clinicians. Maximum supervisees may fluctuate based on state regulations.

  3. Conduct regular case reviews, offer feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
  4. Assist the BCBA Trainer in making enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the clinics.
  5. Oversee and collaborate with the clinical training team to ensure required and recommended Registered Behavior Technician training sessions are conducted.
  6. Facilitate meetings and group supervision with Registered Behavior Technicians.

2. Case Management

  • Provide oversight of individual client cases
  • Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations of ABA clients
  • Write Evaluation and Progress Reports as needed
  • Conduct ongoing assessment and adjust behavior intervention strategies based upon client performance for all clients receiving services from BCBA(s) and BCaBA(s)
  • Supervise sessions conducted by Registered Behavior Technicians.
  • Develop and maintain direct treatment plans and BIPs as clinically needed and/or required by state regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning sessions.
  • Complete all timesheets, observation and sessions notes, and other required documentation to ensure compliant billing of ABA services as needed.

3. Interdisciplinary Collaboration/Quality Assurance

  • Collaborate with clinical team to ensure Speech and ABA programming and goals align.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and refine clinical programs and services.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Audit learning trees and provide feedback to BCBAs, BCBA Fellows, and BCBA Student as needed.
  • Consult with parents, teachers and other service providers.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, research, and technologies in applied behavior analysis, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice.
  • Engage in continuing education and professional growth activities related to applied behavior analysis.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be professionally licensed BCBA in the states of Maryland and Virginia.
  • Must maintain an active CPR/BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with children on the autism spectrum.
  • Must be available to work during after-school hours.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices and advancements in the field.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with typically developing children.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be flexible, creative, and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Must be highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Must be energetic and love working with children and families.

Compensation Structure: Salaried
