Job Overview:

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. Your primary duties will include greeting clients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, managing records, and assisting the veterinary team with administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and their pets with a warm, professional demeanor
• Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries promptly and courteously
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Manage client and patient records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate
• Process payments, issue invoices, and handle billing inquiries
• Assist with patient check-ins and check-outs
• Communicate effectively with the veterinary team to ensure seamless care
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area
• Assist with inventory and ordering office supplies
• Handle sensitive situations with tact and empathy

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is required
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures (a must)
• Comfortable using computers and office software (experience with E-Vet/Covetrus software is a bonus)
• Passion for working with animals and people
