Wisconsin Management Company (WMC) is hiring full-time Painters in our Maintenance Department, servicing our residential properties in Dane County Our full-time employees enjoy flexible schedules, competitive wages, benefits and paid time off Must have valid driver's license and vehicle.
Job Summary
The Painter is responsible for painting, finishing, and maintaining a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures under direction of the Service Manager and/or Property Manager. The position will be primarily involved in the painting of apartment turnovers, interior and exterior residential and commercial buildings, and common areas.
Principal Duties
- Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, and paint various materials.
- Operate, clean, and maintain painting equipment.
- Perform drywall repairs, texturing, and spraying.
- May also perform general light manual labor work.
- Comply with all OSHA regulations and any applicable laws regarding health, safety and environment.
- Maintain working knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a painting field.
- Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Work under limited supervision.
- Attend meetings, training sessions and seminars as requested.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Skills/Qualifications
- Required minimum of one year or more of experience with painting or related area.
- Required to hold a valid driver's license, must have a reliable work vehicle (truck, van, car, etc) and current insurance.
- LEAD CERTIFICATION HIGHLY DESIRABLE.
- Must be available for occasional night/weekend on-call duty with the maintenance department.
- Must have good human relations skills and the ability to work well with others.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical capabilities to carry out job responsibilities including the ability to lift lbs., stand for extended periods of time, ability to walk, talk and have use of both hands.
Schedule
Mon-Fri, with some rotating on-call requirements
Pay Range: $23-$25/hr
