Your Team's Impact
The Regional Director will serve as the Head of Buy-Side Sales for the West Coast region, leading a high-performing team responsible for managing a regional book of business ranging from
$100M to $250M in annual revenue
. This leader will drive FactSet's growth and market presence across institutional asset managers, asset owners, insurance companies, wealth firms, and hedge funds. You will define and execute the regional sales strategy for FactSet's full suite of products and solutions tailored to buy-side clients, while setting the strategic direction, cultivating trusted C-suite relationships, and driving operational excellence across all sales activities.

What You'll Do

  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, coach, and empower a high-performing regional sales team dedicated to serving buy-side clients. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence while developing deep expertise in FactSet's full suite of solutions. Serve as an in-office leader and culture carrier, bringing together all teams across the region—not just Sales—to strengthen local connectivity, engagement, and pride. Invest in continuous training and talent development to build future sales leaders and sustain long-term regional success.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Design and execute a dynamic, data-driven go-to-market strategy that drives ASV growth and client retention across all buy-side firm types. Set ambitious yet achievable sales targets, ensuring disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and consistent overachievement.
  • Client Engagement & Insight: Cultivate trusted, senior-level relationships with key buy-side stakeholders to understand evolving business needs and priorities. Position FactSet as a strategic partner by delivering tailored solutions that create measurable client value, and share actionable market and client insights to shape product and service strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Specialty Sales, Product, Marketing, and Client Solutions teams to deliver integrated, seamless client experiences and expand FactSet's share of wallet across key accounts. Play a visible leadership role across the local office community, fostering inclusion, collaboration, and connection among cross-functional teams to sustain a vibrant regional culture.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Maintain deep awareness of buy-side market trends, client challenges, and competitive dynamics. Translate insights into actionable strategies that sharpen FactSet's positioning and accelerate regional growth.
  • Resource Management & Performance Analytics: Use a data-driven approach to measure performance, optimize territory coverage, and align resources to the highest-value opportunities. Leverage analytics to refine go-to-market execution and enhance productivity across the team.
  • Regional & Global Synergy: Collaborate closely with regional and global leadership peers to align on multi-year sales strategies, share best practices, and deliver consistent execution across firm types within the buy-side.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 12 years of proven sales and sales leadership experience within financial services, technology, or related sectors, with a record of growing teams and delivering results across both individual contributor and management roles.
  • Deep understanding of the buy-side client ecosystem (e.g., asset managers, asset owners, insurance companies, hedge funds) and FactSet's complete product offering.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high-performing sales teams in complex, cross-regional, and matrixed environments.
  • Skilled at synthesizing market insights and feedback to shape product, service, and sales strategies.
  • Entrepreneurial and data-driven leadership; able to inspire teams, set bold goals, and deliver results at pace.
  • Strong rapport-building skills with C-suite executives, senior client contacts, and internal cross-functional stakeholders.

The budgeted base salary range for this position in the state of California 160, ,000.00

Salary is just one component of our compensation package and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.
