We are looking for a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Operator to join our sewer and water construction team. The Dump Truck Operator is responsible for transporting materials such as dirt, gravel, and debris to and from job sites in a safe and efficient manner. This role is essential to keeping our projects running smoothly and on schedule by supporting excavation, backfill, and material haul-off operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate dump trucks to transport excavation materials, aggregates, and other loads to designated areas or disposal sites.
  • Safely load and unload materials using appropriate procedures.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and report any issues.
  • Follow designated routes and project schedules as assigned by the foreman.
  • Work closely with excavation crews to coordinate timely material movement.
  • Maintain clean truck beds and assist in preventing material spillage on public roads.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and company safety policies.
  • Assist on job site as needed when not operating the truck (e.g., traffic control, labor support).

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of safe loading, hauling, and dumping procedures.
  • Ability to operate truck in tight or active job site conditions.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety practices.
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks when required.
