Summary

The Ash Group is hiring a highly skilled
Senior Python Developer
for our client (
one of the largest private credit providers in the US agricultural economy
) based
remotely
.

This is a critical role focused on maintaining and enhancing our core
Data Party Management API
, a microservice built with
Python 3, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and deployed on AWS
. You will be essential in driving the reliability and feature expansion of our party and contact data management infrastructure.

Role Details

  • Compensation:
    Competitive pay rate of
    $80 per hour.
  • Benefits:
    Medical, dental, vision, and direct primary care benefits. After six months of employment, enjoy a 4% matched 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting.
  • Duration:
    6-month contract
    with potential for extension.
  • Location:
    Remote for those based in Minnesota
    (MN-based client).

What You'll Be Doing

  • Write
    clean, testable, and maintainable Python 3
    code, focusing on
    SOLID principles
    and best practices for high-quality backend development.
  • Build and extend
    RESTful API endpoints
    from controller to data layer, and implement services for
    streaming data
    and
    asynchronous applications
    (event-driven/non-blocking patterns).
  • Modify and build
    CI/CD workflows
    and manage containerized applications using
    Docker and Kubernetes
    .
  • Work directly with
    relational databases (PostgreSQL)
    , writing and optimizing complex
    SQL queries
    .
  • Debug production and deployment issues across a
    three-tier web application architecture
    , utilizing core
    AWS resources
    (S3, SNS, Dynamo, etc.).

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of
    5+ years
    of professional experience in
    Python backend development
    (Python 3 is mandatory).
  • 2+ years
    working with
    containerized applications
    and
    CI/CD pipelines
    (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proven experience building and contributing to
    production-grade microservices
    and
    RESTful APIs
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    asynchronous programming
    and experience with streaming data technologies (e.g., Kafka, SQS).
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment with ambiguous or evolving requirements, and strong communication skills for team collaboration.
