Job Overview

Kauhale Centerville is a Memory Care Community. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care and be committed to providing high-quality nursing services. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in supporting patients' health and well-being, working closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals in various settings, including teaching hospitals and memory care facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document changes in patients' conditions.
  • Assist with laboratory procedures and ensure proper handling of specimens.
  • Support primary care initiatives by educating patients on health management and wellness practices.
  • Perform suturing under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding care plans and health issues.

Qualifications

  • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to nursing practice.
  • Experience in patient care settings, preferably within memory care or primary care environments.
  • Proficient in performing patient assessments and monitoring vital signs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating compassion for patients.
  • Previous experience in a teaching hospital is a plus but not required.
