Michael Sullivan & Associates LLP is a cutting-edge law firm that provides high-quality litigation defense for the Workers' Compensation industry. We publish the highly respected Sullivan on Comp legal treatise and conduct live training seminars and webinars. The firm develops lasting relationships with clients through superior legal services at significant value, and has grown rapidly since its inception in 1996.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Appear at WCAB proceedings for Lien Conferences, Lien Trials, and other hearings
  • Aggressively negotiate lien claims on workers' compensation files
  • Research and drafting of legal briefs
  • Prepare status and hearing reports to clients
  • Build relationships with clients and lien claimants in order to facilitate settlements
  • At least 50% travel required

Requisite skills and experience:

  • Strong understanding of Workers Compensation law and litigation procedures
  • Superior research, analytical, and negotiating ability
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Commitment to proactive case management
  • Demonstrate creative problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and also effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong evaluation and negotiation skills
