Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team, specializing in both residential and commercial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, field service experience, and a comprehensive understanding of HVAC/R systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Candidates should have a valid driver's license and be committed to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems for residential and commercial clients
  • Diagnose issues using schematics, electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters, and diagnostic equipment
  • Perform system inspections and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and HVAC design documents to ensure proper installation and repairs
  • Conduct plumbing and refrigeration repairs as needed, including ammonia refrigeration systems when applicable
  • Utilize welding skills for equipment repair or modifications when required
  • Perform maintenance on boilers, air conditioning units, and other HVAC equipment to ensure optimal operation
  • Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems and appliances
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all service activities
  • Document all work performed accurately in service reports

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC/R or related field such as plumbing or appliance repair
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance
  • Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans effectively
  • Experience working with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus
  • Skilled in welding, boiler operation, and general property maintenance preferred
  • Familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshooting electrical issues in HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of construction practices relevant to HVAC installation projects
  • Previous field service experience with residential or commercial clients preferred
  • Valid driver's license required for travel between job sites
  • Additional skills such as property maintenance, appliance repair, or mechanic experience are advantageous

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
