Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time Patrol in South Bend, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated logistics and distribution areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for people and property. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to all individuals at the location. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and loading areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any irregularities.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and maintenance issues encountered during patrols according to site protocols.
• Support emergency response activities and communicate promptly with site management and Allied Universal as needed.
• Remain visible and approachable to employees, visitors, and contractors to assist with inquiries and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
