The Washington County Juvenile Services Department is seeking a full-time Juvenile Services Supervisor to lead the Juvenile Beaverton and Hillsboro Community Supervision Team. These teams work within the Juvenile Department buildings located in Hillsboro, Oregon. The Juvenile Services Department is guided by the core values of teamwork, excellence, and integrity, along with its five (5) drivers: assessing and responding to risk and needs, engaging clients, engaging the communities of our clients, using data to guide decision-making, and staff development.
The Juvenile Services Supervisor will provide leadership in the day-to-day operations of each of these teams ensuring divisional goals and objectives are met. This is a full-time, in person, 40-hour per week position, working during normal business hours Monday through Friday.

Bilingual Positions:
Designated bilingual positions require that the incumbent have knowledge of another language besides English. It is required to possess precise writing skills (including spelling, grammar, and punctuation), fluent speaking skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Upon successfully passing the applicable proficiency assessment test in a selected language, employees will receive bilingual pay in the amount of five percent (5%) of their base pay rate, exclusive of any other incentive pay, or a flat rate of seventy-five dollars ($75) per pay period, whichever is greater.
The Juvenile Services Department's Supervisor - Beaverton/Hillsboro Region is responsible for the supervision of high-risk youth in the community, including youth on probation and being diverted from the court system. Staff are responsible for maintaining court ordered condition to protect public safety and work to restore victims. Juvenile Counselors support youth through the brokering of services that include connection to behavioral health services, skill building to strengthen protective factors in the home and community as well as to mitigate risk factors, connect with school district staff to enhance the educational experience of youth, and support youth in developing positive pro-social behaviors and the skills to continue to be successful within the community. Staff regularly work in the community with youth and their families as well as in the courtroom setting. This position will be supervising and supporting the staff supervising youth in the Beaverton/ Hillsboro regions of Washington County.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience:
- Master's Degree in counseling, social work, corrections, psychology, or a related field; AND three (3) years of experience in social work, juvenile, or conciliation counseling. Experience must include caseload management and one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience over staff or project-based activities; OR
- Bachelor's Degree in counseling, social work, corrections, psychology, or a related field; AND five (5) years of experience in social work, juvenile, or conciliation counseling. Experience must include caseload management and one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience over staff or project-based activities; OR
- Associate's Degree in counseling, social work, corrections, psychology, or a related field; AND seven (7) years of experience in social work, juvenile, or conciliation counseling. Experience must include caseload management and one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience over staff or project-based activities; OR
- Nine (9) years of experience in social work, juvenile, or conciliation counseling. Experience must include caseload management and one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience over staff or project-based activities.
Preferred Qualification:
Though not required to apply, preference will be given to candidates who have bilingual skills.
Additional Licenses, Certificates, Physical Abilities and Specialty Requirements:
- Must possess a driver's license valid in the State of Oregon and have an acceptable driving record.
- Completion of a criminal history check in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rules.
- Clinical social work or counseling license preferred.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATIONSelection Process

Additional preferred qualifications screening may be applied prior to the interview step depending on the number of applications received.
- Subject Matter Expert Review: Your responses to the supplemental questions will be evaluated and scored by a panel of subject matter experts starting the week of 11/16/2025. Your total score for this examination will affect your placement on the eligible list (a list of candidates eligible for interviews).
- Panel Interview(s): Generally, the top six to eight candidates will be invited to participate in a panel interview.
- Salary Analysis & Conditional Offer: Human Resources will conduct a salary analysis for the successful candidate(s) and extend a conditional offer of appointment.
- Post-Offer Checks: Juvenile Services will conduct required background, driving record, and reference checks
- Start Date: A start date will be determined after all conditions of employment have been met.
