General Laborer

Ghidorzi Companies is a design build construction, real estate development and hospitality firm based in Wausau, WI with a passion for building community through sustainable buildings that stand the test of time. General Laborers report to the Maintenance Supervisor and are key members of the Property Management team.

Job Summary

The General Laborer performs duties related to interior / exterior maintenance, exterior and interior projects, parking lot maintenance, and general construction labor.

Primary Responsibilities

  • • Complete work orders for building interior and exterior as assigned, effectively and efficiently
  • Perform landscape/grounds maintenance including lawn care, raking, shoveling, sprinklers, etc
    • Perform snow removal during winter months
  • Use common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or precision measuring instruments safely and effectively to complete miscellaneous projects
    • Perform regular equipment maintenance including diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical problems using necessary resources
  • Record maintenance and repair work completely and accurately
  • Utilize necessary safety and protective gear for all assigned tasks
    • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a general labor position is preferred.
  • Valid driver license required.
  • Reliable with strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team player.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks, determining the correct tools/equipment needed.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds safely and with proper technique, ensuring safety at all times. Frequent walking, standing, bending and stair climbing are also regular requirements of the job.
