JOB TITLE: Reservoir Engineer (up to Senior Staff Level)
JOB SUMMARY:
Sabine is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled reservoir engineer to support Sabine's Eastern Region with responsibilities that include: reserve determination, project economics and optimization, budgeting and reserve report updates, asset acquisitions and divestitures, and identification of unrealized value. Must be able to work in a team environment and ensure timely and efficient project execution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the asset team (Geology, Land, Drilling, Completions, Production, Marketing) to select and propose well locations for upcoming drilling projects
- Utilizing ARIES, prepare AFE packages for well proposals, including production and reserve projections and project economics
- Assist in managing the drilling rig schedule, incorporating key elements such as lease term expirations and impact on overall capital program
- Analyze well performance, incorporating reservoir, geologic, drilling and completion data to optimize economic results
- Work closely with completions group to design upcoming horizontal well completions, incorporating findings from performance analysis
- Involved in updating corporate reserves on quarterly basis
- Will assist with A&D evaluation on a regular basis
- Will be involved in preparing the annual budget, as well as quarterly updates to long-term business modelling
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Up to 10 years of reservoir engineering experience (minimum of 2 years of reservoir engineering experience required)
- High proficiency with ARIES, SQL Server, MS Access
- Proven background in economic evaluations, Oil & Gas reserve estimations and decline curve analysis
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex financial modeling, power query, pivot tables
- Experience with Spotfire or similar business intelligence platforms
- Coding knowledge (Python) a plus
- Industry well analysis: IHS, Enverus (Prism, Drilling Info)
- Geological and production mapping: Petra
- Advanced production analysis: RTA
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- B.S. Degree in Petroleum Engineering
