Position summary: National Field Director, Value and Access
We are seeking a National Field Director, Value and Access with a significant payer experience, in-depth knowledge of health systems operation and decision making, strategic thinking and planning, and ability to build a high performing Value and Access field team to engage stakeholders at transplant centers. You will lead the Value and Access field team and be responsible for executing duties in a collaborative manner with exceptional internal and external communication while following all compliance guidelines.

This is a field-based role that will require frequent overnight travel.

The role will report to the Vice President of Global Market Access and have frequent interactions with the US leadership team.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies and tactics to support formulary placement, reimbursement (coverage, coding, payment, and patient access), and pathways across payer customers to support the launch of imlifidase.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Value and Access field team to deliver imlifidase clinical, economic, and humanistic value to key stakeholders for the adoption of imlifidase by transplant centers to perform highly sensitized kidney transplant, including evidence from health economics and outcomes research, real-world evidence as appropriate.
  • Work with providers, administrators and their staff at transplant centers to navigate reimbursement processes for imlifidase and help identify and overcome issues that could prevent access to imlifidase in highly sensitized transplantation.
  • Establish clear performance metrics for the Value and Access field team and ensure consistent execution in alignment with commercial strategy and objectives.
  • Collaborate with medical affairs and commercial teams to ensure readiness goals of transplant centers for imlifidase aligned to launch plan.
  • Implement systems, processes, and tools to optimize team effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure field activities comply with all regulatory, legal and compliance standards.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, Corporate Affairs and Patient Advocacy, Compliance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of product vision and execution.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Master's Degree or MBA from an accredited college or university.
  • 20 years of pharma/biotech experience and at least 10+ years of progressive experience in national/regional account management, field reimbursement, patient services or related functions.
  • 5+ years of proven success in building, managing and leading a national or regional accounts team, preferably across payer and provider-facing teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills with the ability to work effectively with external stakeholders and across internal teams.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization including C-suite, internally and externally.
  • Launch experience, preferably in hospital, transplant, nephrology or orphan diseases.
  • Experience from a smaller international biotech company is preferred.
  • Global/international experience is preferred.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams). Strong working knowledge of other IT systems (e.g. Veeva, CRM, Contract Management Systems).
  • Ability to travel domestically on a frequent basis.

Estimated salary range for this role is $210,000-$220,000 annually. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications, skills and experience of the individual applicant, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographic location of the individual. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives, as well as participation in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, company holidays and well-being benefits.
