FaciliServ is actively seeking energetic Field Inspection Representatives to serve our growing service areas. Motivated for safety and success, this full-time, hands-on opportunity provides the opportunity to travel within our regional service areas, to help ensure that athletic equipment at schools, stadiums, and recreation centers is safe, operational, and ready for action.

Who We Are:

FaciliServ, a nationally-recognized, family-founded business, specializes in servicing a wide range of athletic and gymnasium equipment, including bleachers, backboards, gym curtain dividers, and more

Position Summary:

This role conducts onsite inspections at client sites, traveling to locations across the designed geographic service area, to help ensure that schools and recreational facilities meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.

Your attention to detail, willingness to travel, and documentation skills will be part of the process to meet ICC standards and help our clients keep their installed athletic equipment safe. Your work directly supports our sales and estimation teams who report back to clients, ensuring safe environments for athletes, students, coaches, sport spectators and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel: Travel throughout the George, Alabama, and other areas of our South/Southeast market with frequent overnight stays. Work driving time is compensated and done in a company-provided fleet vehicle. Up to 400 miles per month of personal vehicle usage is also permitted.
  • Equipment Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of bleachers, basketball backboards, and other gymnasium equipment, both indoor and outdoor, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Customer Engagement: Consult and communicate with clients to ascertain equipment issues on-site. Represent FaciliServ in a positive and professional manner.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete comprehensive reports, checklists, and visual safety review of equipment, documenting inspection findings thoroughly and accurately. Inspections include measures, pictures, videos, and accurate equipment information.
  • Vehicle Responsibility: Maintain and operate company vehicles safely. Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, as required. (Note - smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes is not permitted in company vehicles or client premises)

Qualifications:

  • Open to Travel: Ready and willing to travel full time, primarily Monday–Friday, including overnight travel and hotel stays. Available for overtime hours, as necessary, during high-volume business periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Must accurately complete all documentation paperwork and take pictures of inspected equipment, per company guidelines. Ability to take accurate measurements and complete basic math calculations is required.
  • Inspection Experience: Previous inspection experience is a plus but not required; training is provided.
  • Licensing and Background: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to pass school district background checks and DOT physical.
  • Strong Communicator: Document your work in detail and communicate professionally with clients. Use company systems to maintain requisite work records. Communicate with Corporate Office on inspection completions. Attend ongoing training meetings and complete online training programs as designated.
  • Physical Capability: Able to lift up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis and perform tasks involving reaching, standing, crawling, measuring, and climbing. May occasionally assist on technical field work with a technician to help enhance understanding of bleacher operations. Able to pass DOT physical, including DOT pre-employment drug/alcohol testing, as needed. Able to meet physical responsibilities of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Safety-Minded: Follow all safety procedures, adhering to any requirements for working in school environments. Follow PPE, OSHA, and Company safety protocols.Due to working in school environments, candidates are subject to criminal background checks meeting certain requirements.

Physical Requirements

  • Walk, crawl, climb, kneel, and work in tight areas as necessary.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clear motor vehicle report.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds periodically.
  • Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Ability to work independently, while managing multiple inspections efficiently.
  • Willing and able to travel continually to complete work assignments. Able to adjust routes at short notice, in order to accommodate client requests or business needs.
