Job DescriptionIf you have a passion for technology and want a career in engineering, we want you As a Gas Power Co-op/Intern we will prepare you for an exciting career, tackling one of the world's toughest challenges of providing cleaner, more accessible energy.
What You Will Do:
- Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers
- Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas.
Responsibilities include:
- Support project execution (Steam Turvine / Generators /Gas Turbine or Both) including Customer Kick-Off, Engineering Release, Design Phase Customer Engagement, & Issue Resolution from Project Start-Up to EXWORKs; project assignment either global or domestic pending project release cycle.
- Operational planning for engineering project resource capacity/demand, utilization, and design functional resourcing.
- Complete Steam Turbine & Generator Project Demand Plan & Look Ahead
- Identify applicable products to be executed for Generators & Steam Turbines.
- Set resource plan for cross-functional teams including controls, accessories, flange-to-flange, projects, etc. Cross-functional issue resolution/continuous improvement (LEAN) via process mapping, standard work development, or 5S application; predominantly focused on Electrical Auxiliary Systems & Customer Drawing Schedules to support OTD improvement

What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Must have one to two semesters left prior to graduation and be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below
- The following majors are eligible: Electrical Engineering Technology
- Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
- Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship

The pay for this position ranges from $24.00/hr - $35.00/hr based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed
This position is also eligible for:
- Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
- Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern's permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
- Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services
- GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
