Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
  • Assist in menu planning and development to create innovative dishes
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines for proper food handling
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols

Skills

  • Proven experience in the culinary field, preferably in fine dining or catering
  • Strong food preparation skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with menu planning and meal preparation is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is advantageous
