Freedom Real Estate is seeking a Property Management Assistant to assist with all aspects of property operations for our commercial, retail and industrial buildings in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing multiple properties and be able to effectively balance financial considerations with tenant needs and desires. This position requires excellent communication skills as well as organizational abilities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

As a Property Management Assistant your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

• Perform daily operations including rent collection, lease renewals, and maintenance requests
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance work with maintenance staff, contractors and vendors
• Maintain finances related to property expenses, taxes, insurance, and other operating costs
• Communicate with tenants regarding any issues or concerns they may have

• Enforce leases and take appropriate action when necessary

• Ensure compliance with government regulations and building codes

• Complete building inspections and monitor property condition to identify areas for improvement
• Maintain accurate records of all property transactions and activity
• Assist with development of annual budgets and track performance

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship
• High school diploma or equivalent is required, bachelor's degree is preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience managing multiple properties
• Alabama Real Estate License or willingness to obtain
• Willingness to obtain Certified Property Management certification
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
• Industry software (Yardi, MRI, etc.) experience
• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including the possibility of weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree

Schedule: M-F; 8-5 extra hours as needed

Work Location: onsite

Travel: Yes, 10-20% (local)
