Job description

GMC Danvers has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager. The sales Manager Directs the sales activities of the dealership and ensures maximum gross profit per unit sold for the new and used car departments. Ideal candidates must have 2 years experience in automotive dealership management, proficient in Internet sales and marketing and be people driven.

Responsibilities:

  • Hires, trains, motivate, counsels, and monitor the performance of all sales people using the Daily sales management Dashboard Report.
  • Proficient in CRM, stays current with all training.
  • Is responsible for all aspects of selling system such as Demo line, product display etc.
  • Responsible for proper CRM input by all sales people. Checks daily to ensure all customer information was entered correctly and that salespeople are using the system as designed.
  • Responsible for making daily customer call backs of unsold prospect customers with the goal of making appointments.
  • Assist sales people in closing deals as necessary.
  • Is responsible for overseeing that all sales personnel become factory certified.
    • Learns all manufacturer websites to ensure full comprehension of all programs.
    • Strives to achieve high customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Assists sales people with monthly projections and goals and also monitors the sales people's performance throughout the month.
  • Does one on ones with the sales staff to ensure that salespeople are on track to hit their goals.
  • Proficient in dealership specific CRM and maintain knowledge and training
  • Knowledge of V-AUTO appraisal system, maintain knowledge and training

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Automotive Sales Manager. Porsche experience is preferred but not required.
  • Professional management style, outgoing personality, positive attitude, and professional appearance
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds
  • Proficiency with CRM use
  • Superior customer service and follow up skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess a clean driving record, pass an extensive personal background check, and successfully complete a mandatory drug screen.
