Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated temporary driver to join our team, must be 25 years of age or older. Hours of operation are 6 am - 4:45pm, with possible overtime requirement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations. The Driver will operate various types of vehicles, including flatbeds and pickup trucks, and may be required to perform heavy lifting as part of their duties.

Duties

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Follow assigned routes for timely delivery while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Load and unload goods using a pallet jack or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of items.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition before departure, including properly securing loads.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.

Experience

  • Familiarity with operating a pallet jack and performing heavy lifting tasks is essential.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in warehouse operations is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients during deliveries.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
  • Plus required to be 25 or older.
