Job Description

As a Security Officer - Part-Time Armed Patrol in Stafford, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering the location to help to maintain a secure environment.
  • Report and document any unusual activities, incidents, or security-related concerns according to company and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
