Software Engineer – Post-Trade Operations

We're looking for a hands-on Software Engineer with strong post-trade and operations experience, someone who can live in both the technical and operational worlds. You'll take ownership of the internal operations and administration platform, automating manual processes, improving system reliability, and building tools that keep our trading and settlement pipelines humming. You'll be writing code, managing processes, monitoring trade activity, and creating automated controls to prevent and detect mismatches or trade breaks.

What You'll Do

  • Own and enhance our internal operations platform — build new features, optimize performance, and integrate with custodians and fund administrators (e.g., Northern Trust, State Street, Goldman Sachs).
  • Automate post-trade processes across settlement, reconciliation (IBOR vs ABOR), corporate actions, and trade booking.
  • Monitor trades and accounts in real-time, setting up alerts for breaks, mismatches, and exceptions.
  • Collaborate with trading and core engineering teams to improve operational efficiency and data integrity.
  • Work directly with external partners (custodians, administrators) to streamline data flows and reduce manual touchpoints.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong background in software engineering (Java, Python, or Ruby).
  • Experience with post-trade settlement, IBOR reconciliations, or mid/back-office operations in investment management, hedge funds, or trading firms.
  • Familiarity with custodian/fund administrator integrations (e.g., Northern Trust, State Street).
  • Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and design automation or alerting systems to address them.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with algorithmic trading, trade booking systems, or order management platforms.
  • Exposure to financial data models, FIX, SWIFT, or custodian file formats.
