Key Responsibilities
Underwriting excellence: Evaluate and manage submissions with accuracy and sound judgment, following established guidelines and delegated authority.
Customer engagement: Deliver a customer-first experience by handling quotes, re-quotes, and endorsements efficiently and with care.
Relationship management: Build and maintain meaningful relationships with customers and brokers, understanding their needs and helping drive business growth.
Collaboration: Work closely with partners across Underwriting, Business Development, Claims, IT, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and shared success.
Innovation and insight: Monitor market trends, analyze competitive data, and contribute to ongoing product and process improvements.
Additional Responsibilities
Mentorship: Share your knowledge and experience by guiding and supporting new underwriters, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
Continuous learning: Commit to ongoing development through required underwriting courses, exams, and designations within 24 months of hire.

Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of underwriting experience in Commercial Property & Casualty, Personal Lines, or Management & Professional Liability.
- Education/Certifications: Insurance coursework or designations (e.g., CPCU, RPLU) preferred.
- Alternative experience: 5+ years in a related role or transferable field.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to build and maintain customer relationships (for travel-based roles).
Pay: $70, $125,000.00 per year
