Join our dynamic team as an IT Assistant & Field Tech, where you'll be at the forefront of technology support and innovation In this role, you will provide exceptional technical assistance and field support to ensure our IT infrastructure runs smoothly. You will be the go-to person for troubleshooting software and hardware issues, managing computer systems, and enhancing user experiences across various platforms. Your expertise will empower our team to leverage technology effectively, making a significant impact on our operations. What you'll do ( please do not be frightened by the following, as its not as difficult to learn as you would think. At AmegA, we don't expect you to know everything your first day, but maybe by Thursday.

  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution for users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software problems across various operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
  • Manage computer hardware setups and configurations to optimize performance.
  • Assist with computer networking tasks, including VPN setup, firewall configurations, and TCP/IP management.
  • Support desktop environments by maintaining systems through tools like Microsoft Office, SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), and Active Directory.
  • Conduct analysis of IT infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with the help desk team using tools such as whats app and proprietary apps to track incidents and requests.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with users to understand their needs.

Experience

  • Proven experience in technical support or IT assistance roles is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of computer management principles and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with network administration concepts including LAN (Local Area Network) management and DNS (Domain Name System).
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Windows Server environments alongside Linux systems is preferred.
  • Experience with mobile device management and supporting various operating systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical users.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess problems quickly and implement effective solutions.
