Axogen Mission and Business Purpose

Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by making restoration of peripheral nerve function an expected standard of care. We aim to lead the markets we serve by always requiring the solutions we offer patients and caregivers provide an improved benefit-to-risk profile as compared to existing standards of care. To ensure we deliver improved benefit-to-risk solutions, we will guide and expect the market and design requirement specifications underlying our engineering, business development, and clinical research activities, objectively target advancements in standards of care.

Summary of the Learning & Development Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated intern to join our HR team at Axogen for the Spring 2026 semester. Knowledgeable mentors will provide guidance for a dynamic, professional, and hands-on experience. The intern will get a unique look into the benefits of working within a smaller biomedical company, with high visibility within the company. This intern will be focused on Learning & Development, supporting Axogen's LMS and instructional design projects. This internship will be based out of our Tampa HQ and will be hybrid, depending on the student's schedule. Our in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with remote flexibility on Wednesday and Friday each week.

Requirements of the Learning & Development Internship

  • Enrolled in a Human Resources/Learning & Development undergraduate or graduate program; or in a similar field of study
  • Interested in a possible career in learning and development
  • Able to commit to at least 15 hours per week during normal business hours, Monday through Friday; specific days/hours will be based on the student's class load and schedule
  • Able to pass a drug screening
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • Basic computer skills, use of Microsoft Office, Excel, and basic data analysis
  • Good teamwork skills and a positive attitude

Project Details

  • New eLearning course design using Articulate software
  • Promotion and adoption of LMS features
  • Facilitation of team discussions
  • Organize data sources for repeatable metric analysis
  • HR department collaboration

Compensation

The anticipated base wage for this position is $18/hr for an undergrad student and $20/hr for a grad student. In addition to the base hourly rate, there may be a housing stipend available based on location. Interns who are 21 years of age or older are eligible for 401K.
