Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement, military experience, or security operations, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively. This role requires a dedicated individual committed to maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and conflict management. The position offers full-time employment with paid hours, emphasizing the importance of professionalism and attentiveness in safeguarding our organization.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol designated areas using CCTV systems and on-site surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activities.
- Conduct regular security checks to ensure all entry points, exits, and sensitive areas are secure.
- Respond promptly to security breaches or emergencies, including medical incidents, by administering first aid or CPR if necessary.
- Enforce security policies by controlling access points and verifying credentials of visitors and staff.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities, observations, and any security-related occurrences.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required to address security threats or incidents.
- Manage conflict situations professionally to de-escalate potential threats or disputes.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism activities and implementing preventative measures.
- Participate in ongoing training related to surveillance techniques, conflict management, and emergency response procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security roles is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; training will be provided if necessary.
- Strong surveillance skills with proficiency in CCTV operation and monitoring systems.
- Excellent conflict management abilities with a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and security best practices.
- Ability to handle emergency situations effectively while maintaining professionalism.
- Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately.
- Physical fitness to patrol large areas and respond swiftly to incidents as needed. This position is integral to maintaining a safe environment for all personnel and visitors while upholding the highest standards of security professionalism.
