Overview

In this role you will be responsible for preparing meals according to the restaurant's menu, assisting the kitchen with food preparation tasks, and other duties related to the preparation of food.

Duties

  • Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients according to recipes.
  • Follow menu planning guidelines to ensure meals meet dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices.
  • Support the culinary team by preparing ingredients for cooking and assembling dishes as needed.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control of food items.
  • Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations within the kitchen environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and basic culinary skills.
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with other kitchen staff.
  • A passion for food service and commitment to providing high-quality meals.
