What We re Looking For:

Walters-Morgan Construction, Inc. is looking for an experienced Water/Wastewater Project Manager to oversee and manage the heavy civil construction operations and services at the management level. A person to closely work with site Supervisors, subcontractors, vendors and owners. Some of the jobs that we have will last 3-6 months, while others can be up to 3 years. We re looking to add someone to our team that has proven industry experience in the construction of concrete, underground pipe installation, mechanical equipment installation, and 3-5 years water/wastewater experience.

Walters-Morgan Construction, Inc. is a general contractor based out of Manhattan, KS that has been in business for over 80 years. We operate in the water and wastewater industry, providing construction services by building and upgrading water treatment plants primarily between Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma.

Our projects typically include the installation and replacement of mechanical equipment such as pumps, piping, clarifier equipment, barscreens, grit removal equipment, heavy civil and concrete construction, miscellaneous sitework, excavations, grading, and more.

General Experience:

  • Closely work with clients, owners, safety managers, field personnel, estimators, project managers, and all others involved in projects.
  • The ability to complete AutoCAD installation drawing packages for our field team.
  • Produce project billings, budgets, and POs.
  • Process change orders and related project administrative documentation.
  • Complete accurate submittals.
  • Prepare and review operations and maintenance manuals.
  • Prepare logical and sequential project schedules utilizing P6 Primavera software.
  • Team leader, mentor, and motivator. Good communication skills are a must.
  • Experience with concrete forming systems such as hand-set forms, gang forms, round and square structures, foundations, walls, slabs, columns, sidewalks, elevated decks, and more.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate the project requirements according to the contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Work from the Walters-Morgan Construction, Inc. Headquarters in Manhattan, KS and make job site visits as needed.
  • Successful builds between $250K and $50M.
