Come be a part of our unique hotel in picturesque Grand Haven, MI We're on the lookout for a reliable individual to fill our 2nd shift Front Desk Agent role. As a valued member of our team, you'll greet guests with a smile, handle check-ins and check-outs, assist with inquiries, manage paperwork, and ensure our property stays clean and welcoming. Duties:

  • Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures
  • Address guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously
  • Manage incoming phone calls, reservations, and general inquiries
  • Maintain accurate records and paperwork related to guest transactions
  • Oversee laundry operations, ensuring cleanliness and availability of linens
  • Perform general cleaning tasks to uphold the hotel's cleanliness standards
  • Conduct night audit tasks, including reconciling accounts and preparing reports
  • Ensure security protocols are followed during the overnight hours
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality or hotel industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide exceptional guest service
  • Proficiency in computer systems and hotel management software
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and reconciling accounts during night audit
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and the property
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality is a plus.
