Come be a part of our unique hotel in picturesque Grand Haven, MI We're on the lookout for a reliable individual to fill our 2nd shift Front Desk Agent role. As a valued member of our team, you'll greet guests with a smile, handle check-ins and check-outs, assist with inquiries, manage paperwork, and ensure our property stays clean and welcoming. Duties:
- Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures
- Address guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously
- Manage incoming phone calls, reservations, and general inquiries
- Maintain accurate records and paperwork related to guest transactions
- Oversee laundry operations, ensuring cleanliness and availability of linens
- Perform general cleaning tasks to uphold the hotel's cleanliness standards
- Conduct night audit tasks, including reconciling accounts and preparing reports
- Ensure security protocols are followed during the overnight hours
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality or hotel industry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide exceptional guest service
- Proficiency in computer systems and hotel management software
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and reconciling accounts during night audit
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and the property
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality is a plus.
