Job Title: Inkjet HW & SW Test Engineer

Position Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the client's R&D efforts for inkjet technologies. This position will develop scalable software test applications that are optimized for inkjet hardware in prototyping and mass production environments. This position will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to provide software solutions to test and debug the electro-mechanical systems for inkjet printing products.

Responsibilities

  • Support legacy inkjet test applications (ink firing systems)
  • Develop new test application features to support next generation inkjet technology development including
  • Test coverage for electrical and mechanical integrity of ink firing sub-systems
  • Ink turn on (energize) performance
  • Ink flow and firing performance
  • Print quality testing
  • Flexible and customizable test result reports
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to
  • Develop and qualify both proto lab and mass production hardware test platforms which collect and analyze ink firing data
  • Debug and root case ink firing defects/errors
  • Regularly collaborate with OEM partners to install, setup, configure, and troubleshoot mass production line inkjet test stations
  • Identify problem areas, drive issues to closure, ensure solid root cause understanding, and report learnings to senior management
  • Investigate, plan, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and document per milestone commitments
  • Occasionally work 40+ hours in a week to meet certain team milestones
  • Perform other duties as needed

Education and Credential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field; Preferred Master's degree
  • Eligible to work in the US without RLA sponsorship for employment visa status

Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an software developer and/or embedded systems engineer role
  • Experience writing/modifying Windows based applications in C, C++, C#, VB, and similar languages
  • Experience integrating custom tooling/automation solutions into third party high volume manufacturing environments, understanding manufacturing processes, and tools
  • Experience receiving and assessing end user feedback (engineers, technicians, and operators) to make continuous improvements to test applications
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple geographical location
  • Preferred experience
  • Working with fluidics products (e.g., inkjet printers)
  • Using machine vision systems e.g., Cognex, Keyence, or similar
  • High volume test automation

Skills Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • High proficiency using productivity software such as M365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams, and SharePoint)
  • Ability to use project/program management principles and methodologies to consistently meet task deadlines, triage changing priorities, and track issues to resolution
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse teams with a customer service mindset

Work Environment

  • The position typically operates in a standard office environment and/or from employee's home
  • Be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $70, $98,000.00 per year
