Our dedicated Director of Nursing is seeking a driven Nurse Supervisor to be her right hand in supporting our nursing team and ensuring the highest level of resident care.
Position Summary:
The Nursing Supervisor plays a vital leadership role in our facility, working closely with the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing to manage nursing operations, support staff, maintain compliance, and promote a positive and professional work environment. This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for an experienced nurse ready to grow and lead with purpose. This position is an evening shift position 3p-11pm Monday through Friday and rotates all shifts on call once every three weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Nursing and ADON in planning, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
- Provide clinical oversight and mentorship to licensed nurses, CNAs, and other nursing staff.
- Participate in resident care planning and ensure care is delivered in accordance with residents' individual care plans and regulatory standards.
- Monitor compliance with infection control protocols and facility policies and procedures.
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, onboarding, and evaluations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform audits and ensure charting/documentation accuracy and timeliness.
- Support and participate in state surveys and ensure readiness at all times.
- Rotate once every three weeks on-call responsibilities with the Director of Nursing and ADON for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN/LPN license in the state of Missouri.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of state and federal regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and respond to changing priorities.
- A passion for team development and delivering high-quality resident care.
