This hourly role follows the Scotts/Hawthorne step pay progression scale and typically starts at $32.90 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

Performs maintenance duties as assigned. Troubleshoots and performs repair and maintenance on parts of equipment including mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs. May perform or assist in the installation of machinery and equipment._x000D_

The Plant Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining all industrial equipment at the plant site. This includes installing/repairing mechanical piping, rotating equipment, fabricating and welding. The individual must be able to demonstrate proficiency in pump rebuilding, equipment alignment, pipeline welding and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems_x000D_

Work incident and injury free._x000D_
Repair production line equipment including conveyor belts, packaging equipment and stacking equipment.._x000D_
Cut and welding, including light steel fabrication._x000D_
Install/repair HDPE, FRP and Steel pipe lines._x000D_
Troubleshoot various mechanical equipment and piping systems to determine the root cause of equipment failures._x000D_
Operate forklift and man lifts._x000D_
Shift work may be required._x000D_
Completes any other tasks as needed or as directed by management._x000D_
Position entails prolonged and repetitive motion of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead and arms/hands dexterity_x000D_
Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs._x000D_

Three (3) years minimum industrial experience as a Mechanic or in a related role._x000D_
Ability to properly tension belt drive systems._x000D_
Able to pass all positions for CS flat plate welding._x000D_
One (1) year minimum experience troubleshooting maintenance issues on conveyors, packaging equipment and stacking equipment._x000D_
Prior experience installing roller, ball and antifriction bearings._x000D_
Prior lubrication experience (ultra sonic lubrication, pressurized oil systems, sampling gearboxes)._x000D_
Prior electrical experience_x000D_
HS/GED, required._x000D_
Graduate from an applicable certified apprentice program or company approved mechanical training program._x000D_
Valid Driver's License and a good driving record are required in order to drive company vehicles on property.
