Job Summary:

This Senior Billing Analyst position will work with TRAC's in-house chassis tracking system at our corporate headquarters in Princeton, NJ. This individual will research billing anomalies, perform data entry and billing quality control checks. The ideal candidate will serve as a leader within the billing team by providing guidance, training, and support to the team while collaborating across departments to streamline processes and resolve billing discrepancies.

Position requires subject matter expertise, training and guidance regarding business rules and procedures, coordinating and prioritizing the daily workflow to maximize accuracy and efficiency, and troubleshooting system and data issues for resolution or escalation to appropriate channels in a timely and accurate manner.

 Essential Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary point of contact for management team.
  • Coordinate and prioritize the billing team's daily workflow to maximize accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversee billing quality control processes for assigned areas.
  • Research billing anomalies in proprietary data management systems and external terminal operating systems.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to maximize productivity and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot system and data issues for prompt resolution.
  • Train members of billing team on new processes and reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related area preferred
  • 1 year experience in transportation or similar required
  • Must be computer systems-oriented and proficient in Outlook and Excel, including the use of formulas and macros
  • Ability to identify problems, process resolution and implement action or solution timely
  • Ability to meet deadlines; prioritize workloads and handle multiple tasks
  • Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and inquisitive
  • Must possess excellent analytical, conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to the ability to think creatively
  • Must be able to competently handle completing multiple tasks simultaneously

Physical Requirements:

  •  This position requires long periods sitting behind a desk and extensive use of a telephone, and computer and in-house system applications.

Work Environment

  •  This job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions.

Salary Target: $50,000 plus 5% incentive target

Compensation is determined by a range of factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, skill level, and competencies, as well as the geographic location of the role and/or the individual.
